Dear All the International Students:
In line with the Chinese laws and the requests from the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (Immigration Department) , those who would like to study in China for six months or above must apply for the Residence Permit. For this paper, you will have to apply for the “Visa Application for Study in China (JW 202 Form) first and then, you will have to take medical check-up at the Guangdong International Health Center . Without these papers, your visa cannot be extended anymore. Therefore, those who came to China with the L visas and changed the L visas to F visas (less than 180 days ) and do not have the Residence Permits by now and want to continue your study programs next semester please complete the following process at your earliest convenience:
1. Fill out an application form again with your passport and Student ID;
2. Place: Office for International Students’ Affairs, Room 101, School of Chinese as a Second Language (SCSL) just beside the Zijingyuan Hotel;
3. Some students from some countries will have to provide the original copy of the “Non-criminal Certificate” issued by your police, which must be notarized by the Chinese embassies or consulate generals in your country and your Personal Resume (Curriculum Vitae) in both Chinese and English versions. Please consult our Office about the policy.
