Based on the classic news education model and injecting the contents needed by social development, this major commits to cultivating journalism talents who have professional spirits and professional abilities with humanities and social science knowledge. Adapting to the needs of today’s “All Media”, this major emphasizes the training of “All Media” ability. The students will not only get promotion on writing stressed by the traditional journalists, but also on photography, camera, interview and writing and editing to adapt to different media forms of news reports, and to proficiently use multiple media technology in news communication. In order to meet the needs of the new economic era, it sets up financial news direction, focusing on professional economics knowledge, to cultivate financial journalism talents with the ability of analysis of economic development issues and to report economic phenomenon.

Main Courses: Introduction to Journalism, Introduction to Popular Communication, Visual Communication, News Interviews and Writing, In-Depth Coverage, News Ethics and Regulations, Financial News Interviews and Writing, Television Program Planning and Editing, Audio-Visual Language, News Photography, Digital Media Technology.

Employment direction: After graduation, students will be able to work in government and other institutions for communication management and social communication, and will be suitable for publicity department, external communication, brand communication, cultural exchange or promotion departments in government and social organizations. Students can also be engaged in editing and design work of news communication in newspaper group, television station, news website, mobile newspapers, magazines and other media organizations. Meanwhile the students can choose to continue their master degree study in journalism, communication and media management.

Grades of high school should reach pass (Level D or 60 points out 100 or above), among which Chinese, English and Mathematics should reach Level C or above (70 points out of 100 or above) New HSK5 certificate (180 points or above)
